The Dairy Cottage - From Derelict Barn to Luxurious South Coast Farm Stay

This project involved the complete transformation of a derelict dairy barn into a luxurious farm stay retreat on the beautiful South Coast of New South Wales. The renovation required extensive structural work, including straightening uneven walls and completely redoing the roof to ensure the building’s long-term stability and safety.

Inside, new bedrooms were thoughtfully designed to offer comfort and privacy, complemented by a modern kitchen installation and fully updated bathrooms, blending rustic charm with contemporary conveniences. A strategically placed skylight floods the interior with natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the home.

Outside, the property was revitalised with new landscaping that complements the rural setting, while the addition of a spacious timber deck and plunge pool provides guests with the perfect outdoor sanctuary to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Sustainability was a key consideration throughout the renovation, with eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient fittings used wherever possible to minimise environmental impact.
